PS3 games can be played on Android phones!

Ana sayfa / News

There has been a remarkable development for mobile gamers. PlayStation 3 games can now be played on Android phones. The new emulator aPS3e, which can be downloaded for free and without ads from the Google Play Store, offers the ability to run PS3 games on Android devices.

The developer of the emulator, China-based Aenu, announced that the application does not contain any ads and that all users can directly access the full version. An optional version for $5 is offered for users who want to support the developer. However, this version does not contain any functional differences.

Although it is technically possible to run prominent PS3-era titles such as The Last of Us, God of War III, and Uncharted 2 on a mobile device with the emulator; high-end hardware is required for this experience.

According to Aenu’s statement, the minimum system requirement is 6 GB of RAM and Android 7 operating system, while the recommended configuration is stated as at least 8 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor. These conditions show that aPS3e does not work stably on average Android phones.

Flagship or gaming-focused devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Asus ROG Phone 9 are among the hardware suitable for this emulator. The application is still in early development.

Users have reported long loading times, lags, and graphical glitches on various platforms, especially Reddit. The emulator’s performance is limited due to the complexity of the PS3 architecture. So what do you think about this? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
